Customs Brokerage
EQL S.A.S. is a Level 2 customs broker operating across Colombia. We handle customs filings, tariff classification and import clearance before DIAN, the national tax and customs authority, with customs advisory and infrastructure that meets its requirements.

How do I import from the United States into Colombia?
EQL receives your goods at the Doral, Florida office, consolidates them and coordinates the international ocean or air freight. In Colombia, our Level 2 customs broker handles clearance and we coordinate delivery to the final destination.
How do I import from China?
The transport mode is chosen according to volume and urgency (ocean FCL or LCL, or air), the commercial documentation is gathered, the shipment is coordinated with the supplier and the goods are cleared in Colombia. EQL coordinates all three stages.
How do I bring goods in from China?
The process is the same as any import: logistics planning, contracting the international freight, document management and customs clearance. EQL guides you on choosing the Incoterm and the most suitable route for your type of cargo.
What documents do I need to import goods?
Generally a commercial invoice, packing list, transport document and any registrations or licences the product requires. The tariff classification determines which approvals apply; EQL identifies them and files them through the VUCE single trade window.
How do I export products from Colombia?
You define the market and the Incoterm for the negotiation, the export documentation and certificate of origin are prepared where applicable, and transport to the destination is coordinated. EQL supports the full dispatch and its international tracking.
What does a customs broker do?
It acts as an authorised intermediary before DIAN: it classifies the goods, prepares the declarations, assesses customs duties, obtains release of the goods and is accountable for compliance with foreign trade regulations.
What is a logistics operator?
It is the company that coordinates the entire logistics chain for your cargo: international and domestic transport, customs management, warehousing and distribution, through a single point of contact. That is the role Grupo EQL plays.
Can I import goods from any country?
Generally yes, as long as the goods are permitted and meet the requirements of the country of origin and of Colombia. Foreign trade consulting validates restrictions, approvals and trade agreements before the operation begins.
